Club Ciudad de Bolívar (known as Drean Bolívar for sponsorship reasons) is a volleyball club based in San Carlos de Bolívar, Buenos Aires Province, Argentina. The club was founded on October 23, 2002, subsequent to that year's FIVB Men's World Championship held in Argentina. The club's foundation was initiative of TV host and entrepreneur Marcelo Tinelli (who was born in San Carlos de Bolívar).[1] The team has used different names for sponsorship reasons: Bolívar Signia, Orígenes Bolívar, DirecTV Bolívar, and the current Drean Bolívar.
Bolívar is the most successful team of the Argentine league, having won 6 titles: 2002–03, 2003–04, 2006–07, 2007–08, 2008–09, and 2009–10. Bolívar also won the South American Men's Club Volleyball Championship in 2010, earning the right to represent the continent in the FIVB Men's Club World Championship.
